Pick Your Own Strawberries !
$4.50 per Lb

⚠️ Important Field Note: To ensure everyone has enough time to pick and check out, no one will be allowed to enter the field 30 minutes prior to closing time.

β€‹πŸŒ€οΈ Check the Weather Before You Head Out! Weather & Ripening Closures

Because we rely entirely on Mother Nature, there are a few conditions that will cause us to temporarily close the patch:

No Picking in the Rain or Wet Fields: We do not allow strawberry picking while it is raining or when the plants are heavily wet. Picking wet berries bruises them easily and causes them to mold almost instantly.

Ripening Closures: Some days, we may need to close the field for a day or two to give our berries a chance to ripen up for the next crowd of pickers.

Check the Forecast: Strawberry season is brief, and farm weather changes rapidly. The best way to get a perfectly accurate, real-time forecast for our specific fields is to check the Weather Network for Pinehurst Park. We highly recommend checking the local radar and our social media pages just before you leave the house!

**Field Closed** No U-Pick Strawberries Yet!

Rules Tips and Tricks

To keep our plants healthy and ensure a great experience for everyone, we kindly as that all visitors follow these guidelines strictly:

1) Check-In with Staff: They will assign your specific row! Please note that each adult entering the field must pick a 1-quart minimum. (There is no general admission fee to enter).

2) Start at the Flag: Look for the flag in your assigned row, and move it along with you as you pick! Be sure to pick ALL the red berries at each plant before moving forward. (Tip: The best ones love to hide under the leaves!)

3) Pick Completely Red Berries: Only pick berries that are red all over.

4) Pinch the Stem: Remember to pinch the stem, not the berry itself, to keep from bruising the fruit.

5) Stay on the Paths: ONLY WALK IN AISLES and crosswalks. Our plants are very full and bushy, and because the season is so short, we want to save every single berry. Please watch where you step so you don't damage the plants or fruit.

6) Pay For What You Pick: Please only pick what you are prepared to pay for.

7) Stay in Your Row: DO NOT switch rows without direct permission from our staff.

β€‹πŸŒ Go Green: Bring Your Own Container!

We love being environmentally friendly! You are welcome to bring your own container, bowl, or basket from home.

How it works: Bring your empty container to us first—we will tare (subtract) the weight of it so you are strictly paying for the fruit you pick!

Price: $4.50/lb

Don't have a container? No problem at all! You can easily buy one from us when you arrive.

Quart $0.50    3L Basket $1.50     Flat $3.00

β€‹πŸ‘Ÿ Planning Essentials: What to Wear & Bring

Recommended Gear: We highly recommend bringing sunblock/sunscreen, plenty of water, and wearing proper footwear (like closed-toe shoes or sneakers) for walking on uneven farm ground.

Supervise Children: Families are always welcome, but please watch your children closely at all times. Kids must stay with an adult to ensure they don't wander or step on the crops.

For safety and food hygiene reasons, no animals/pets or strollers are permitted in the berry fields.

β€‹πŸ§Ί Caring for Your Fresh Strawberries

Keep Them Cool: Freshly picked strawberries are highly perishable. Refrigerate them as fast as possible once you get home.

Avoid the Heat: Never leave your berries inside a hot car while running other errands, as the heat will cause them to spoil quickly.

Wash Only Before Eating: Moisture causes berries to mold. Only wash the portion of strawberries you are about to eat right then. Keep the rest unwashed and dry in the fridge!
